TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF HIRE FOR HOME STAGING
1. HIRE PERIOD
The initial hire period is four weeks with a complimentary fifth week allowed for photography, delivery and collection of furniture.
2. INITIAL HIRE FEE
The Hirer will pay the agreed fee upon signing the contract. This can be no later than one week prior to delivery of the Showhome package. The booking cannot be confirmed until payment has been received. No refund of the initial hire fee will be given should the Hirer request cancellation/removal during the initial hire period.
3. EXTENSIONS TO HIRE PERIOD
One week before the completion of the initial hire period contract, Home Edit will be in contact to ask if you wish to extend the staging period. The payment will be priced at the same weekly rate as the initial hire fee minus 20%. Once this has been agreed, Home Edit will send you an invoice to arrange payment immediately. *Note – The option to extend your contract will be subject to our furniture availability.
4. PAYMENT DEFAULT
In the event of a default of payment, Home Edit will take recovery action including but not limited to: removal of furniture, debt collection action, court and legal fees, and charge interest on outstanding debt at the rate of 1% per month. All costs incurred will payable by the Hirer.
5. DAMAGED OR MISSING ITEMS
The Hirer shall keep all items in the Showhome package in good and clean condition and should damage occur or items go missing, agree to pay the charges required to return the damaged items to good condition or reimburse missing items at the normal retail price.
6. REMOVAL
The Showhome package shall remain at the same address until notification of termination of the contract and the Hirer shall not remove or permit removal of any items of the Showhome package from the premises as detailed under delivery address. Furthermore, the Hirer agrees not to move the items in the Showhome package from the positions in which they were placed unless agreed to by Home Edit.
7. ACCESS
Upon signing this contract by both parties, the Hirer shall supply entry keys, alarm codes and access details to enable Home Edit or its agent free entry to the property at such times as they may require throughout the hire period.
8. DISPLAY USE
The Hirer agrees that the furnishings are for display use only. Home Edit may during the term of contract, change items at their discretion substituting changed items with similar or more compatible items.
9. PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL
The Hirer agrees to allow Home Edit to display promotional materials in their home and use images of on Home Edit’s website and social media.
10. INSURANCE of GOODS and FURNISHINGS
· All goods and furnishings, while at the address, shall be insured by the Hirer
· The property has an unmonitored alarm system and the Hirer agrees to pay $150 to Home Edit for insurance.
· The property has a monitored alarm system, so there is no charge to the Hirer for insurance.
11. SCOPE OF WORK
Home Edit shall include in the contract price delivery and pick up of the Showhome package. Placement of items in the delivery address shall be at Home Edit’s discretion.
12. RESTORATION
Artwork, mirrors, pictures, where requested to be fitted and any subsequent damage to walls, etc to which they are affixed, will be at the Hirer’s cost for rectification. Flooring areas where indentations, defects, blemishes, scratches or stains are left after removal of furniture/furnishings is at the Hirer’s risk.
13. CANCELLATION
Cancellation of Showhome agreement prior to installation of the Showhome package will attract an administration fee equal to 30% of the total value of the initial hire fee.
